For proper dosing, children 6-12 years should take one gummy every 4 hours, not exceeding 6 in 24 hours. Children over 12 can take two soft chews every 4 hours, up to a maximum of 12 in 24 hours. Always ensure the soft chews are chewed thoroughly before swallowing.
Cough soft chews typically contain Dextromethorphan HBr as the active ingredient to suppress coughs, along with corn syrup, citric acid, and flavorings like natural berries for a pleasant taste.
The effects of cough soft chews last about 4 hours per dose. To maintain symptom control, it’s important to adhere to the dosing instructions on the package and not exceed the recommended number of soft chews in a day.
